Walt Disney World offers a multitude of hotels where to stay during your stay.

 

There are 5 categories of accommodation:

  • - De Luxe Villas

  • - De Luxe hotels

  • - Moderate hotels

  • - Value hotels

  • - Campsites

 

There is another hotel category on Disney's website in the "De Luxe" category, but to book in this category you need to purchase vacation packages. Your travel consultant will be able to inform you about these packages.

 

What is the difference between each type of category?

Value hotels

  • Theme hotels

  • Standard rooms (+/- 260 sq.ft.) for 4 people + a baby bed

  • Family rooms (+/- 250 sq.ft.) for 6 people are also available.

  • 2 double beds or 1 Kings bed available

  • Standard swimming pool with children's play areas and themes

  • Food court restaurant

  • They are often located a little further from the theme parks.

  • There are 5 hotels in this category

    • Disney's Pop Century Resort - Wide World of Sport area

    • Disney's All-Start Music Resort - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's All-Star Movies Resort - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's All-Start Sports Resort - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's Art of Animation Resort - Wide World of Sport area

 

Moderate hotels

  • Hotels with theme

  • Rooms larger than "Value" category with +/- 314 sq/ft and accommodating 4 people + a cot

  • Family suites of +/- 504 sq.ft. for 6 people are also available at some hotels.

  • 2 Queen beds or 1 Kings bed are available

  • Larger swimming pool with, in some cases, water games or water slides and play areas for children

  • Food court restaurant + at least 1 sit-down restaurant

  • Often located closer to theme parks

  • There are 5 hotels in this category

    • Disney's Caribbean Resort - Epcot area

    • Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside - Springs Resort area

    • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort - Secteur d’Animal Kingdom

    • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quater - Secteur du Springs Resort

    • The Cabins at Disney Fort Wilderness Resort - Secteur du Magic Kingdom

 

 

De Luxe category hotels

  • Hotels with theme

  • Larger, more luxurious rooms with +/- 344 sq. ft. accommodating 4 people + a baby bed.

  • 2 Queen beds or 1 Kings bed available

  • Even larger swimming pools, gymnasiums, in some cases with water games or water slides, children's play areas and some hotels have spas

  • Food court restaurants + at least 1 restaurant with table service, room service and, in some cases, meals featuring Disney characters.

  • Often even closer to theme parks

  • There are 8 hotels in this category

    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Magic Kingdom area

    • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's Wilderness Lodge - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's Beach Club Resort - Epcot area

    • Disney's Contemporary Resort - Magic Kingdom area

    • Disney's Yacht Club Resort - Epcot area

    • Disney's Boardwalk Inc - Epcot area

 

Luxury Villas

  • Hotels with theme

  • These are studios with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. Studios range from +/- 316 sq. ft. to +/-2500 sq. ft. for the large Villa at Boardwalk.

  • All studios can accommodate 4 people + a cot. The studio “The large villa” sleeps 12 + cot.

  • Beds vary by villa, but most contain Queen or King beds and a sofa bed

  • Even larger swimming pools, gymnasiums, in some cases with water games or water slides, outdoor film projections, children's play areas and some hotels have spas and bike rentals.

  • Food court restaurants + some villas have several restaurants with table service, room service and, in some cases, meals featuring Disney characters. Studios include kitchenettes and larger studios include full kitchens.

  • Located very close to the theme parks

  • There are 12 villas in this category

    • Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa - Disney's Springs area

    • Disney's Old Key West Resort - Disney's Springs area

    • Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows - Magic Kingdom area

    • Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge - Magic Kingdom area

    • Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort - Magic Kingdom area

    • The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - Magic Kingdom area

    • Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge - Magic Kingdom area

    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House - Animal Kingdom area

    • Disney's Boardwalk Villas - Epcot area

    • Disney's Beach Club Villas - Epcot area

Campground located in the Magic Kingdom area.

  • Each campground offers private landscaping, water hook-ups, cable TV, electrical hook-ups, picnic tables and barbecues.

  • Most campgrounds also offer sewer hook-ups, and some even allow pets.

  • 1 swimming pool with water slide

  • Golf cart rental

  • Unique activities

  • You can add a personal touch to your campground, but be sure to follow these decorating guidelines
